My Work Permit will Expire on May 2025 while my Non-B Visa will Expire on Sept 2025. I will resign and go home for good. What are the steps I need to make in order to exit Thailand properly? After my Work permit expires, can I still stay in Thailand until my visa validity?

เรียนคุณSir สำหรับใบอนุญาตทำงาน หากต่างด้าวประสงค์จะลาออกจากงาน นายจ้างต้องแจ้งให้นายทะเบียนทราบภายใน 15 วันนับแต่วันที่ต่างด้าวออกจากงาน ตามพระราชกำหนดการบริหารจัดการการทำงานของคนต่างด้าว พ.ศ 2560 และที่แก้ไขเพิ่มเติม มาตรา 13 วรรคหนึ่ง มาตรา 46 วรรคสาม หรือมาตรา 50 วรรคหนึ่ง (3) ส่วนในเรื่องของการตรวจลงตราและการอนุญาตให้พำนักอาศัยอยู่ในประเทศไทยต่อหลังจากที่ใบอนุญาตทำงานหมดอายุแล้ว เป็นภารกิจที่อยู่นอกเหนืออำนาจหน้าที่ของทางกรมการจัดหางาน โดยสามารถสอบถามเพิ่มเติมได้กับทางสำนักงานตรวจคนเข้าเมือง ซึ่งเป็นหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง

Regarding the Work Permit:
If a foreign national wishes to resign from employment, the employer must notify the registrar within 15 days from the date the foreign national ceases to work, in accordance with the Royal Decree on the Management of Foreign Workers’ Employment B.E. 2560 (2017) and its amendments, Section 13 paragraph one, Section 46 paragraph three, or Section 50 paragraph one (3).

Regarding Visa and Residence Permit Matters:
The matters concerning visa extensions and permission to remain in Thailand after the expiration of the work permit fall outside the authority of the Department of Employment. For further information, inquiries should be directed to the Immigration Bureau, which is the responsible agency.
